Automatic sprinklers
The system that suppresses or controls the fire before anyone arrives. It is the highest-impact protection per unit of investment.
We design and install automatic sprinkler systems under NFPA 13: wet systems for conditioned areas, dry systems for spaces exposed to freezing, preaction for rooms with water-sensitive equipment, and deluge for fast-spreading hazards.
In distribution centers and rack storage, the critical point is the relationship between storage height, commodity class and protection scheme. A misapplied ESFR, or storage that grows above the original design, leaves the building unprotected without anyone noticing until the day of the incident.
We calculate density, operating area and friction loss across the network, and verify that the water supply sustains demand with the margin the standard requires.
Where it applies
- Industrial and manufacturing plants
- Distribution centers and rack storage
- Shopping centers and retail units
- Parking structures and basements
- Corporate buildings and residential towers
Other systems
Hydrants and hose cabinets
Exterior hydrants, fire department connections and equipped cabinets under NFPA 14 and 24.
03Piping networks and fire pump rooms
Tank, main pump, jockey pump and listed controller sized under NFPA 20.
04Detection and alarm
Addressable panels, detectors, manual stations and notification under NFPA 72.
05Special hazard suppression
Clean agents, foam and kitchen systems for hazards where water is not the answer.
06Extinguishers and signage
Selection, placement, recharge and signage under NFPA 10 and NOM-002-STPS.
